Jack Daniel's & Men's Love

First time in my life, I touched this brownish liquid which is called Jack Daniel's... 40degree Whisky. I shared a bottle with two male friends. The evening went well but I would never touch that drink ever again! (it is not tasty at all!)

I forgot the time when I drank beer with male friends in university. Recently, I discovered that men open up themselves much more once they have some alcohol drinks. I believe lots of women do but I kept quiet.

My drinking friends last night gave me some education on Men and their views on Love.. interesting topic. They said all the men have two types of love. One is called the magic chemistry of love which is true love. They have all sorts of funny feelings when they encounter their true love and this strange chemistry grows inside of them. The other one is 'forced love.' Some men can manage to FORCE themselves to love female friends. They knew there is no chemistry but they SHOW their care and 'love' anyway because they want to make friends or to provide comfort or to move on from a sad story.

I was amazed. Wow, I never knew this before. I told them that women love with 100% of heart and soul, at least I do. They couldn't understand it. I sigh, 'Men are from Mars. Women are from Venus.'

Thinking it all over again this morning, I felt sad about these two types of love they mentioned. It seems that lots of men are making relationships to work by pretending. How tragic! How sad it is for the ladies who can't tell which is true and which is 'forced love.' Maybe lots of men don't know their feelings either. This gave me a chill..... I have heard people saying, 'I've never truely loved you.... The chemistry wore off after some years.... My feeling has changed.... '

Thankfully, I thought about God's love. What type of love that God has for us? He loved us at the first sight. He loves us with never-ending love. He is love. His love is TRUE at all time for all people! (Thank GOD!) I believe that God wants us to imitate that kind of love too. He said, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

This is an affection far beyond that kind of 'magic chemistry'. Chemistry will wear off one day. 'Forced love' is not love at all and it will make people tired. BUT the love of God never fails because GOD is LOVE. He never change. We love because of the overflow of that great love. I believe this even after having had 150mls of Jack Daniel's.
