God cares a small flower

Today, I heard the preach on 1King chapter 21. The message is based on Naboth's vineyard. The preacher suggested a few reasons why Naboth wanted to keep his vineyard while the king wanted to have it. Also, he went on to explore the mind of God behind all these people's life. It was a message for me.

Every flower is precious in His sight. This verse means a lot for me from different aspects. Firstly, God cares every small person's small story. He knows them all. Like Naboth's small vineyard, everyone has some special property from God. Maybe that's my identity, maybe my character, maybe my beloved habit or culture that I don't want to be mingled with others...... People don't understand all the time and the 'big cooperation' might want to devour these little differences. But, God cares them and He loves them.

Secondly, the details of my life matters to God. My wonder, my confusion, my joy and my love may not mean anything to any others but they mean a lot to Him. Someone said to me, God loves a small flower even though no one would ever see it. This small beauty will also be the beauty she is even though no one notices her. She is beautiful for God, the creator.

God sees into the darkest part of our lives. Ahab murdered and he is more than a murderer. He is a sinner and Elijiah actually summarized his sinful life. Ahab should have been stoned to death for any of his sinful deeds, I thought. I was confused why God didn't judge this wicked man right then. The change point amazed me. God is the righteous one. He judged Ahab but He also showed us His main character---mercy, love and forgiveness. He forgave Ahab for his repentance also for He is Himself. He will never change. It's a really wonderful thing. God will not change Himself because of us sinners. No darkness can ever cover His light and no sin can ever irritate God to change Himself.

I thank God for He is who He is.
