Seek God in the desert of our life

I was in tears last night, because Irene and Albert's family tragic and also because I saw a dear friend through surgery and pain, both emotional and physical.

Thinking about all these, I could not stop crying. The sadness of life becomes so real to many people in this Christmas season. I wonder how we can cope with these, or even more, much more in future.

Opened Bible, I read this poem when David was in the desert. He said, 'O God, you are my God............Your love is better than life......... my soul clings to you, your right hand upholds me.'

My heart was touched by this verse, 'Your love is better than life'. The love of God is better than our belongings, our career, our emotions, our health, every thing in our life.

To seek God, to seek His LOVE, and GRACE, and He will give to us.

Nothing in life is eternal, yet the LOVE of God is. We know we have.

Psalm 63 1-8
O God, you are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.

My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.

Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.

My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

May Lord gives us the strength, the wisdom, and hope, so we can face all the tragedies, we can overcome the difficulties and our eyes see the silver rim of the clouds, and our hearts sing the song of joy and happiness.
