One Day

Cried for half of the movie.....

I don't like Dex, for many reasons. He wasn't good looking, and he was such a 'bastard', in English word. He was so stupid, and wild, for no reason, just like many men in the city. I cried for him, because he really could have been a fine man from the very beginning.

Yet, he had to disappoint us, by doing all sorts of things which brought him nothing but big life lessons.

'Everyone loves you, yeah? But they love you in that ironic, love-to-hate kind of way. All that we need to do is to find someone that loves you for real. '

I love that line. Yes, Dex. Didn't you know Emma was the only girl who loved you for being you.

I love the cast Emma, let aside the name. She was typical and had a tough life for a while. The biggest mistake she made in my eyes was that she compromised her partner with a boring comedian whom she didn't love at all. Fortunately, she grew up out of him. Also, the comedian boyfriend worshiped her and built her confidence up. Everyone came to our life for a reason. (althought I don't get it sometimes.)

Emma became a beautiful woman, when she had everything by her side. She must be really really happy at that moment meeting Dex in Paris, in her most beautiful age. I was soooo happy for her. I felt myself in her.

There may be a man waiting for the woman to love him for real. At the same time, he is still a man, who can only appreciate beauty by 'seeing'. Women, have to be beautiful by knowing themselves, not just being waiting. We do not grow by waiting...
