To die in order to live

'How to live' is always a big question for all. But, death is so important for believers as the glorious true life comes after death. The new life of heaven comes after the death of the old life.

E.Elliot described the nature's life and death beautifully.

'....there will be very great release from unbearable burdens in the language of autumn trees, for example, when they dress most gloriously in preparation for death. The red of the leaves is the sign of the cross. Winter follows, when snow closes everything in frozen silence. The trees then are skeletons, but wonders are being performed under the surface of things. Spring comes, an dthe hidden wonders burst out alll at once- tiny shoots, swelling buds, touches of green and red where all seemed hopeless the day before.Miss Trotter shows the yellow blossom of the gorse springing straight out of last year's thorn.' ----'Passion and Purity'

To die is thus a joyous preparation for a life. To give up is the first step to achieve something new.

Many times, I asked the Lord, for this good reason I want to die in the old self, but HOW???

And, the answer came to me from the greatest death.

'Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. ' ---Luke 23:46

So...to comit my spirit to God the Father is to die. To commit every bit of life daily. It's not about torture and suffering but a heart totally exposed to Him.
